1. Select a troubling emotion, memory or issue.
2. Create a Set Up Statement.
A Set Up Statement has two parts.
The first half is “Even though I have _____________,”
(fill in the blank with the problem or emotion)
and the second half is “I deeply and completely accept myself.”
3. Tap on the Karate Chop point while saying the Set-Up Statement 3 times.
4.Then tap about 7 times on each of the other points while saying the Reminder Phrase.
The Reminder phrase is a short phrase just to remind yourself what the issue is. You need only say it once at each point.
Example: “this anger” or “it was so scary!”
The sequence isn’t important but many people start on the eyebrow point, work their way down the body and then end on the crown.
